European Procurement Excellence and Operations Specialist

Our client is in the midst of an exciting period of change and are looking for an experienced Head of Procurement Excellence and Operations, EMEAA  to join their growing procurement function.

You will have responsibility for developing and delivering best practice Procurement Excellence and Operations across the EMEAA region.

Procurement Excellence Responsibilities:

  • Oversight and management of Procurement Excellence and Operations along with stakeholder management of Procurement Country Managers

  • Act as a Cross-functional partner (e.g. Finance, GBS, Audit, Legal, HSE) and manage and maintain key Procurement systems including spend analytics tool, contract management repository, e-Sourcing platform and procurement savings tool

  • Lead the provision of system user support service and delivery of training to users

  • Identify new technologies to enhance the procurement process and oversee and manage reporting of Procurement strategic project status, commercial targets and savings delivery

  • Design and produce KPI / performance reports working closely with the Data Science team to visualise within Power BI dashboards

  • Identify, implement and track savings opportunities and provide input for internal audits and compliance reviews

  • Manage and coordinate EMEAA procurement annual savings budget review and reporting to the business

  • Establish clear policies to govern procurement, manage risk and achieve compliance (Procurement policy, savings policy, contracting policy, P-card policy)

  • Develop and implement standard procedures, work practices, forms and templates to support the Strategic Sourcing team

  • Progress communication channels including internal intranet, newsletters, blog posts etc to engage with stakeholders

  • Develop and provide market intelligence, insight and analysis to Procurement team to drive better sourcing decisions

Qualifications:

  • CIPS qualified with excellent people leader and line manager with a focus on continued development

  • Prior Project Management experience and / or use of project tools and techniques

  • Strategy and process development experience with proven ability to be highly analytical and operationally focused

  • Proven stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously

  • Proven track record in Process and Continuous Improvement

  • Ability to adapt and change directly when needed and be flexible
