Role Profile

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a manufacturing / engineering business in the Keighley area as an Interim Buyer.

This is a fast-paced and hands-on purchasing role, which will see you providing extra support to the existing Purchasing team during a busy 6-month period.

 

 

Your Key Responsibilities as Interim Buyer will include:

  • Placing purchase orders for component parts on SAP
  • Expediting deliveries and negotiating lead times
  • Resolving day to day supply issues to ensure component parts arrive in time
  • Answering supplier enquiries and resolving invoice queries
  • Tracking supplier performance via KPI's
  • Supporting the Purchasing Manager with day to day purchasing activities as required

 

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Previous experience as a Buyer in a fast-paced purchasing role within manufacturing or engineering
  • Track record of placing purchase orders on SAP
  • Good working knowledge of SAP
  • Confidence and tenacity to negotiate with suppliers
  • High attention to detail and good organisation skills

Our client is a manufacturing business in the Keighley area looking to recruit an Interim Buyer for a 6-month contract.
