About Our Client

My client is a leading FMCG business that has been in operation for over 70 years. Well known globally for its iconic food brands and one of the largest manufacturer's in its sector. The Demand Planner must exhibit good business and forecasting knowledge evidenced by a high level of integrity, have a clear understanding of demand planning function and ability to deal with complex details in a fast-paced environment to manage customer expectations.

Job Description

The Demand Planner report into the Demand Planning Manager and work alongside production planning and customer service team to ensure the latest finished goods demand plan is reflected in SAP and changes are well analysed, to drive system maintenance and forecast accuracy working with distribution partners.

Key responsibilities include;

  • Process, analyse and track forecasts received from distribution partners to ensure MRP and supply planning are driven by the latest demand information
  • Consolidate kit supply plans received from customers and liaise with materials planning team to ensure the agreed stock holding policies to meet customer lead-times are respected whilst minimising risk of obsolescence
  • Regularly check for slow moving and obsolete finished good risks, report and follow up by closely working with other functional teams
  • Proactively identify, communicate and follow up on significant trends and demand changes to achieve optimum finished goods and kit inventory holding within the network
  • Maintain forecast demand within SAP so the system holds the latest details and supports operational plans

The Successful Applicant

They are looking for a candidate who is passionate and enthusiastic, has a positive and proactive approach to work. The candidate will also need to;

  • 4 + years of the experience in planning (FMCG environment)
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong people and communication skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and of responsibility
  • Must be a team player and demonstrate successful experience working in a cross functional international team environment
  • Perform well under pressure
  • Must have strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Must have strong understanding of S&OP processes and demand planning factors model
  • Must have advanced Microsoft Office Excel skills
  • SAP APO experience is a must
