Job Description

Warehousing and Logistics Trainer

Company: Bis Henderson
Contract: PERM
Location: East Midlands, United Kingdom

Great opportunity for an Apprenticeship Trainer / NVQ Assessor with experience of delivering Warehousing L2 / L3 or Team Leader / Supervisor L3 or Supply Chain Practitioner L3.

Bis Henderson Academy is a unique business that provides training, jobs and apprenticeships across the UK. Our continuing success is down to the professionalism of our people and we are strongly supported by the industry contacts and reputation of our Group of Companies.

In order to meet our on-going contract demands we now seek a TAQA Level 3 / CAVA or equivalent, qualified Training Assessor to join our constantly growing team. You will take responsibility for the support, planning and coordination of learner journeys through an Apprenticeship scheme – delivering Apprenticeship Standards for Team Leading Level 3 in addition to Level 2 Warehousing and Storage. We will soon begin delivery of the Level 3 Supply Chain Practitioner Standard. Teaching and training are delivered to both Groups and individuals through a mix of face-to-face and virtual assessment sessions. It’s a given that you will have experience of this as well as conducting progress reviews; contributing to developing training materials and maintaining accurate records including Action Plans, Reviews, ILPs and ESFA documentation. It is also essential that you have occupational competence in Warehousing and / or Logistics, are already an effective, qualified Assessor / Tutor with 2-3 years’ experience in delivering at least one of the Standards we currently deliver and have a proven track record of successful and timely completions. An IQA Award or working towards one would be advantageous as would PTLLS. However, the following are essential:

  • 2-3 years’ experience in delivering at least one of the Standards we currently deliver.
  • Functional Skills in Maths, English & ICT at Level 2 or willing to work towards
  • Completed relevant and recent CPD
  • Experience in using an electronic portfolio system, ideally “One File”

We are keen to find an experienced Trainer / Assessor with an engaging and inspirational personality who can motivate others. Moreover, you will need to have excellent communication, organisational and time management skills. An understanding and awareness of Apprenticeship funding would be highly advantageous. The role will be based in Northampton – NN4 5EA – however, applicants must have the flexibility to be able to travel and support the development of learners in a multi-shift environment where necessary.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Training Assessor / Tutor to join an organisation that is developing the Supply Chain and Logistics professionals of the future, where you can become part of a team of like-minded training and development specialists who are passionate about what they do. If you have the skills and experience we seek then apply for this role today as we are keen to make a placement.
