Procurement fraud is a complex problem that can happen at any stage of the procurement cycle. It is often difficult to detect, takes a long time to come to light and can result in significant financial and reputational losses to the organisation. According to a report from PwC there has been a 28% rise in the number of organisations in the UK experiencing procurement fraud, so procurement professionals have a responsibility to ensure transparency, implement measures to prevent fraud and investigate any irregularities.

By the end of this course you will be able to:

  • Identify the red flags of procurement fraud
  • Implement effective internal controls to reduce the risk of procurement fraud
  • Develop a procurement fraud investigation plan
